Clario integrates several key components to deliver a comprehensive coaching experience:

Trait-Map Integration

Clario is integrated with Trait-Map, a validated, business-class personality assessment. This tool measures 25 traits using a unique forced-choice format, providing a nuanced psychometric profile that makes the AI coaching deeply personalized and insightful from the very first interaction.

Clario Skill-Gym

This feature offers a safe, simulated environment where employees can practice difficult workplace conversations. It provides personalized practice scenarios to build confidence and competence without real-world risk.

Clario Nudges

To reinforce learning, Clario delivers proactive, bite-sized (under 2 minutes) tips, best practices, and reflection questions. Using conversation history, it anticipates user needs and leads the conversation, transforming from a passive advisor into an active partner in goal achievement.

Proprietary Coaching Methodology

Our unique coaching methodology is the result of an international collaboration between coaches and psychometric experts. It incorporates the GROW, OSKAR, and FUEL coaching models and Motivational Interviewing. It is based on decades of collective experience delivering coaching sessions powered by Trait-Map results.

People Analytics Dashboard

For organizations, Clario provides a dashboard to track key metrics. It allows leaders to monitor learning engagement, quantify skill acquisition, and gain an overview of the main coaching topics. Integration with HRIS enables Clario to demonstrate measurable changes in performance, proving the ROI of the coaching program.

Documenting Progress

Clario makes a summary of the coaching progress, key insights, achievements, goals, and action plans. The entire coaching transcript and summary can be exported at any time to share with a human coach.

Performance Feedback

This module allows users to bridge the gap between coaching theory and workplace reality. Users can securely upload communication artifacts — such as email threads, Slack/Teams exports, or meeting transcripts — to receive a deep-dive behavioral analysis. Clario evaluates the user's influence, tone, and alignment with their specific leadership or professional goals. This data then populates the user’s coaching profile, allowing the AI coach to reference real-world examples during future sessions.

Underlying Technology

Model Agnostic

Clario's architecture is designed for professional depth, coherence, and independence, and it is not tied to a single AI model. It uses one of the leading large language models (LLMs) to ensure state-of-the-art reasoning and conversational quality. It can also switch to a different LLM as technology develops.

Complex Architecture

Using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and a custom orchestration framework, Clario integrates its proprietary knowledge base to prevent hallucinations and model drift toward generic advice. This enables it to maintain a complex relational memory and conversational coherence across a great number of sessions, encoding a client’s entire coaching journey into the active context.

Proprietary Coaching Engine

Clario's unique coaching "personality," methodology, and domain-specific knowledge base are independent of the underlying LLM. This proprietary engine is the product of decades of experience from an international team of coaches and psychometric experts.

Efficient System Integration

Clario uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the latest standard for connecting LLMs to external data and tools. MCP provides standardized, flexible, and efficient integrations, solving the problem of fragile custom integrations.

Security & Ethical Oversight

Data Security Compliance

Clario is built with rigorous privacy and safety standards at its foundation. The platform adheres to strict data security standards, including HIPAA and GDPR.

Anonymity and Privacy

User privacy is paramount. All identifying details (names of people, teams, companies) are redacted from the samples viewed by human coaches. The user's email is managed in a separate, secure module, and only a user-selected nickname is shared with the underlying AI, ensuring strict confidentiality.

Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)

To manage potentially sensitive conversations and ensure ethical standards are met, Clario employs a HITL framework. Human coaches audit anonymized conversation samples to ensure the quality and safety of the coaching, in compliance with regulations like the EU AI Act.
